In the last week of January 2014 the Minister of State for Northern Uganda Hon. Amuge Otengo Rebecca commissioned several projects under Northern Uganda Agriculture Livelihoods Recovery Programme (ALREP).
The completed projects are in Awei, Akura and Abia sub country production offices in Alebtong district, Agweng sub country production office, produce stores in Ogur and Barr Sub counties in Lira district and market shades Labongo Ogali, Amuru sub county in Amuru district. These are identified bellow:
• Construction of 1 Sub County Production Office and latrine in Awei Sub county, Alebtong district at a cost of Uganda Shillings 131,074,987.
• Construction of 1 Sub County Production Office and a latrine in Akura Sub county, Alebtong district at a cost of Uganda Shillings 111,708,884.
• Construction of 1 Sub County Production Office and a latrine in Abia Sub County, Alebtong at a cost of Uganda Shillings 111,708,883.
• Construction of 1 Produce store in Ogur Sub county, Lira district at a cost of Uganda Shillings 72,348,482.
• Construction of 1 Produce store in Barr Sub county, Lira district at a cost of Uganda Shillings 72,874,044.
• Construction of 1 Sub county production office and latrine in Agweng Sub county, Lira district at a cost of Uganda Shillings 117,690,893.
• Construction of 8 market-sheds, water harvesting facilities and latrine in Labongo Ogali, Amuru Sub County, Amuru district at a cost of Uganda Shillings 199,450,053.

Representing the Permanent Secretary Office of the Prime Minister, the Undersecretary (P&D), accompanied Member of Parliament Gilbert Oulanya, EU representative and LC V Amuru to inspect market sheds during commissioning of 8 market-sheds in Labongo Ogali market in Amuru district.
During the same period a number activities have been carried out geared towards recovery of Northern Uganda under agriculture livelihood to develop the community and they include:
• ALREP Programme Coordinator held a meeting with Chief Administrative Officers of Lira and Alebtong districts in preparation for commissioning of completed ALREP projects.
• ALREP Administration and Finance officer continued the follow up of accountabilities of funds transferred to districts for monitoring, community sensitisation and Project Management Committees (PMCs) formation and training.
• ALREP Administration and Finance officer continued follow up on concept notes from districts for livestock improvement support and reviewed Agago district livestock improvement support concept note.
• Compiled data on ALREP Carbon emission for January to December 2013.
• Drafted the 4th monthly quarterly report for October –December 2014.
• PS represented by Assistant Commissioner Northern Uganda, ALREP officials and EU participated in talk show at Mega FM in Gulu. The talk show focused on the sensitizing the people of northern Uganda on achievements and progress of ALREP, PRDP and information on a follow up project under 11th EDF.
